Storyteller.
Researcher.
History lover.

Stories begin with curiosity.

With roots in Kentucky and home in North Carolina, Jody writes stories that explore people, places, and the moments that continue to shape us.

Her work grows from a love of history, close observation, and the belief that younger readers deserve stories with depth, mystery, courage, and heart.

Away from the desk, Jody can often be found reading, gardening, enjoying coffee, or noticing the small details that may eventually find their way into a story.
